Dr. Hüseyin Tunç has been working as an associate professor of operations research in the Department of Business Administration at Social Sciences University of Ankara (SSUA) since 2019. He received his Ph.D. degree in industrial engineering from Mississippi State University (MSU) USA in 2012. Prior to joining SSUA, he worked as an assistant professor at Hacettepe University for six years (2013-2019). He had also worked as a post-doctoral associate at MSU for 9 months and spent 3 months as a visiting scholar at EPFL (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne) in Lausanne Switzerland. He has given many seminars at prestigious conferences and universities. His research interests are mainly towards the theory and application of operations research to problems of optimization under uncertainty particularly focusing on applications in supply chain management, inventory management, and data analytics. Dr. Tunç has published many peer-reviewed publications in flagship academic journals including, but not limited to, Informs Journal on Computing, European Journal of Operational Research, Computers & Operations Research, and Omega.
